If you are looking for new ways to stimulate and motivate your German students to continue their German studies into KS4, then this event is for you.
A variety of age-appropriate German films from shorts to more established feature films will form the basis of the morning clip-based presentation focusing on cultural themes which foreground the experiences of young people in Germany – all of which will be explored and discussed through interactive activities in the target language with the German presenter.
There will be opportunities for extending vocabulary linked to themes in the films and students will be encouraged to interact in German. There will be an introduced afternoon screening of a suitable film with opportunities for discussion afterwards in the target language where possible. Recent screenings have included Rock it!, French for Beginners and Winter’s Tochter. A teachers’ resource pack is also included.
