Over the course of one week, acclaimed German theatre director Nicolas Stemann will work with a group of British actors on Elfriede Jelinek’s play The Merchant’s Contracts: An Economic Comedy. Stemann will be joined by German film director and video artist Claudia Lehmann.
The project is commissioned by Theatre of Europe in collaboration with the Lyric Hammersmith. Theatre of Europe invites outstanding directors from European countries to work with British creatives to premiere European work for a UK audience.
